Church Leadership

KCC STAFF

Elders are called by God and the local church for teaching, protecting, leading, disciplining, equipping, and caring for the Church body and its individual members as well as oversight of all ministries, operations, and maintenance of the Church.

Craig Hines | Senior Pastor

Dr. Craig Hines started his spiritual journey on Palm Sunday, 1967 at age 10. Over the years, Dr. Hines taught Bible Studies, started home groups at numerous churches, and developed numerous adult and youth programs.

However, the defining moment of his journey was Hurricane Katrina in August 2005. He worked on the catastrophe team for Allstate Insurance. The overall tragedy, chaos and the human suffering shook Craig to his core. As a result, he recommitted his life to Jesus Christ and was called to ministry. He attended Andersonville Theological Seminary and was ordained as a Minister in August 2009. He later received a Master of Ministry Degree in August 2011 and a Doctor of Ministry Degree in August 2012 from Andersonville Theological Seminary..

Since 2009, Dr. Hines has had a social media presence as the founding Pastor of Relentless Rock Ministries.

On October 30, 2023, Dr.Hines became the Senior Pastor of Kerens Cowboy Church.

Pastor Craig’s combination of teaching straight from Bible, and his compassion, encourages deep understanding of the Bible and how to apply its teachings to everyday life, have made him one of the most popular teachers on Christian Television today.

Brandon Trent | Associate Pastor

I was born and raised in Dallas, TX. In Sunday school I was fascinated with the story of King Solomon asking for wisdom, David killing Goliath, and Jesus walking on water. I received the Gospel in middle school and longed for deeper study in the Word of God. I attended Criswell College and received a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministry. Criswell College taught me the value of meaningful inquiry, self-control, and love for strangers. I met my wife Ana in 2019 at Lake Highlands Baptist Church; she had just become a Christian. We married in 2020 and welcomed our son in 2024. After graduating in 2021, I became a youth pastor for almost 2 years followed by a position in a local charity. I currently work as a Data Analyst during the week and preach regularly at Kerens Cowboy Church. I am blessed to have a growing family surrounded by faithful members of God’s Church.
